Baccarat Regulations

Objective of the Game

The main objective in Baccarat is to predict which hand, the Player’s or the Banker’s, will have a point value closest to 9. You can also bet on a tie, where both hands have the same value.

Card Values

• Cards 2 to 9 are worth their face value.
• 10s, Jacks, Queens, and Kings are worth 0 points.
• Aces are worth 1 point.

The Deal

1. The game begins with two hands being dealt: one for the Player and one for the Banker.
2. Each hand starts with two cards.
3. Depending on the total value of the cards, a third card may be drawn for the Player or the Banker.

Drawing the Third Card

• If the Player’s hand totals 0-5, the Player draws a third card.
• If the Player’s hand totals 6 or 7, the Player stands.
• If the Player stands, the Banker draws a third card if their total is 0-5.
• If the Player draws a third card, the Banker’s action depends on the value of the Player’s third card.

Winning the Game

• The hand closest to 9 wins.
• If both hands have the same total, it’s a tie.

Betting Options

1. Player Bet: You bet on the Player’s hand to win.
2. Banker Bet: You bet on the Banker’s hand to win.
3. Tie Bet: You bet on both hands having the same value.

Payouts

1. Player Bet: Pays 1:1
2. Banker Bet: Pays 1:1 (a 5% commission is often charged)
3. Tie Bet: Pays 8:1 or 9:1, depending on the casino

House Edge

1. Player Bet: Approximately 1.24%
2. Banker Bet: Approximately 1.06% (including commission)
3. Tie Bet: Approximately 14.36%
